PREPARATIONS: Tablets: 2.5mg bisoprolol/6.25mg hydrochlorothiazide, 5mg bisoprolol/6.25mg hydrochlorothiazide, 10mg bisoprolol/6.25mg hydrochlorothiazide.

STORAGE: Ziac should be stored at room temperature, 59- 86°F (15-30°C) in a tight container.

PRESCRIBED FOR: Ziac is used for treating patients with high blood pressure.

DOSING: The dose of Ziac is tailored to the patient's needs.

PREGNANCY: There is no information about the effects of ZIAC on the fetus in pregnant women. Physicians may elect to use Ziac if its benefits are deemed to outweigh potential risks.

SIDE EFFECTS: Please see the individual drugs' articles for bisoprolol (Zebeta) and hydrochlorothiazide (Esidrix; Oretic) . Since the dose of hydrochlorothiazide in Ziac is low, the risk of a reduced level of potassium in the blood is no greater than with placebo.
